MSc Energy-efficient and Environmental Building Design, Lund University. Practice across academic studies, interiors, and residential construction — with climate and context as design materials.
Selected work
A concise body of academic and professional projects.
Shortlisted studies in urban landscape and cultural buildings, interior environments coordinated from mood board to site, and a multi-storey residential building followed through construction.
Urban landscape and cultural buildings
Tejgaon Old Airport, an art institute at Jahangirnagar University, and the Nazrul Institute — tested through drawing, models, and climate.
02
Interiors, views, and coordination
A multi-family residence organised around water; residential interiors with landscape; workplace layout, furniture, and services.
03
Multi-storey residential construction
Design, site supervision, coordination with engineers, and local brick techniques on an ongoing housing building.
04
Facade colour and outdoor comfort
Master’s research on how facade colour shapes visual preference, visual comfort, and outdoor thermal comfort in Swedish cities.
Approach
Buildings that hold light, water, and daily life.
The work begins with what a place already offers — wind, shade, existing roads, local craft — then makes rooms that stay useful as seasons and uses change.
Climate as material
Daylight, wind flow, mass, and planting are designed from the first sketch, not added after the form is fixed.
Indoor and outdoor as one
Views, courtyards, water, and landscape are used to connect rooms with gardens, streets, and the wider site.
From drawing to site
Layouts, materials, services, and local techniques are coordinated with engineers, clients, and the people who build.
Education
Energy-efficient and Environmental Building Design
The Impact of Facade Colour on Visual Preference, Visual Comfort, and Outdoor Thermal Comfort in the Swedish Urban Context
Completed at Lund University with Tasnim Nower Issana. The thesis treats colour as a design tool: how a facade is perceived, how it supports visual comfort, and how it can improve outdoor thermal comfort while contributing to energy performance.
